But I know the exact phenomenon you are describing. Having the books. Wanting to read them. But also... wanting to want to read them.
Perhaps this is a bit of spin on that old maxim of C.S. Lewis's....
"Our best havings are wantings."Ciprianohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00254338542624853230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12546017.post-77205582154249335272007-01-15T14:45:00.000-05:002007-01-15T14:45:00.000-05:00Wow, you manage to see the most ineteresting scene...Wow, you manage to see the most ineteresting scenes Cip. I've got Botton's On Love but haven't read it yet. I also have The Consolation of Philosophy. I know I will like both but I don't want to read them as much as I want to read them. Because once I read them I will have read them and then will not be able to look forward to reading them. Sigh. Books are such complicated things.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12546017.post-3416722971229024362007-01-15T14:26:00.000-05:002007-01-15T14:26:00.000-05:00Wow.
