Two very important literary birthdays today.
Fyodor Dostoyevsky turns 184.
Kurt Vonnegut turns 83.
Here are some things they each said, about my favorite topic... laughter!
"One can know a man from his laugh, and if you like a man's laugh before you know anything of him, you may confidently say that he is a good man."
-- Dostoyevsky –
“Laughter and tears are both responses to frustration and exhaustion. I myself prefer to laugh, since there is less cleaning up to do afterward.”
-- Vonnegut –
Have a great Friday!
