Ann-Marie MacDonald, speaking of her novel, Fall On Your Knees:I spent five years on this book, and when I write something it’s like my child and, of course, I love it. And I want it to be a precious gift that I will give to the reader. I want the reader to feel like nobody wrote it, that it’s their own. Because that’s how I feel about my favorite books. I have an intimate relationship with them. And God knows, I don’t want to meet the author, so why anybody wants to meet the author is beyond me. It’s going to wreck it.
