Splash du Jour: Monday

The poet’s eye, in a fine frenzy rolling,
Doth glance from heaven to earth, from earth to heaven,

And as imagination bodies forth

The forms of things unknown, the poet’s pen

Turns them to shapes and gives to airy nothing

A local habitation and a name.

-- Shakespeare, in A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Have a great Monday!

Hi Cipriano,

Thanks for commenting on my blog!

Yes - it does seem we have the same birth defect for book sniffing. I personally am glad to have been born with it because only I can appreciate when a new book has a slight chocolate scent, or maybe the smell of freshly pressed paper mixed with vanilla laced with linen ;)

And your posting today was quite lovely!

I just saw your second comment on my blog - sorry I missed it on the first go-round.

I actually took four of those books plus a couple of magazines on my trip and then had the nerve to stop by a newstand in the airport on the way back home and purchase two more, plus some more magazines. However, I only read around 20 pages my entire trip, so your friends are right not to let you bring any! I hope you enjoy your trip - it was way too hot when I went. And I'm glad to hear that you love Christmas, too! One day when I have children, I plan to dress them like elves on Christmas - the therapy that they will need later will be so worth it! :) Take Care!!
