Splash du Jour: Thursday

I really don't know why it is that all of us are so committed to the sea, - except I think it is because in addition to the fact that the sea changes and the light changes, and ships change, it is because we all came from the sea. And it is an interesting biological fact that all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and, therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch - we are going back from whence we came.
-- John F. Kennedy –

Have a great Thursday!

I am absolutely drawn to the ocean. I need to always be in it, on it, or near it. It's always so strange to me that not everyone feels this way. It could be because I've always had access to the sea, or because, as a Scorpio, I am a water sign, but nothing smells as good as the ocean, and nothing is as relaxing as watching or feeling the movement of the sea.

That I grew up by the ocean (in Hong Kong, city surrounded by bodies of waters) makes me have an ineffable tie to it. Even the scenes from wreckage the tsunami caused back in 2004 doesn't make me flinch at the ocean. The sight of ocean often gives me a sense of comfort and solace. A stroll to the seaside is often good therapy to a wounded soul.

Before living where I do, in oceanless Ontario, I lived on Vancouver Island.
OCEAN.
I miss it... I cannot kid myself on this.
I used to go to this one place and sit on some gigantic prehistoric driftwood and read my book and watch the ferries roll in to Departure Bay... memories!
There is nothing like an ocean!

Powerful quote from a catholic on the realism of evolution!

I love the sea! I miss it so much! It has a mentally calming effect like no other.

Thanks for the quote
