Hard-covered books break up friendships. You loan a hard covered book to a friend and when he doesn't return it you get mad at him. It makes you mean and petty. But twenty-five cent books are different. -- John Steinbeck –

I place the same value on any book, be it a hardcover or the less expensive version. A book is a book is a book. Return my book or else...
I do too love my books so much that I have a hard time lending them to friends. Although they are aware of my obsession and never ask for the books. ahah
No kidding Anonymous! I get downright Shylockian on anyone who wants to purloin my stuff. Book weighs two pounds? That's the average elbow to forefinger!
Me too, [bunch of squiggly things] p [followed by more squiggly things]. True love means never having to say "Hand me back my books or else!"
No probs, Maggie. Hey, just a question. Are you Margaret Atwood, in cognito?
Matt: I'm with you man. I'm a trade-paperback man!

Love it! Thanks for sharing the quote! :)
Hard-cover books break my back! They are way too heavy to carry consider I always have a few books in my bag.
I only entrust my books to friends who appreciate them.
