Ha! Our dearly departed dog used to try that. Whenever my husband had to get ouf bed during the night the dog would get up and lay on his pillow and start snoring away. When my husband returned to be the dog was always surprised that he was being forced back down to the foot of the bed.

Sigh. Substitute "dog" with "child" and we experience this scenario once every few weeks...
