Splash du Jour: Monday

If the entire course of evolution were compressed into a single year, the earliest bacteria would appear at the end of March, but we wouldn't see the first human ancestors until 6 a.m. on December 31. The golden age of Greece, about 500 BC, would occur just thirty seconds before midnight.
-- Jerry A. Coyne, Why Evolution is True --

Have a great Monday!

Wow, that's so cool! I love when things are condensed like this - amazing insight. Have you seen the one about the the world being condensed into a village of 100 people? It breaks down the world's population in the same way.

Very enlightening!

Very cool.
And I'd be curious to see the one Trish mentions, regarding the world population.
