Calgary Airport: A Saturday Snapshot
I love the Calgary, Alberta [Canada] airport.
For one thing, when I am connecting to a flight to Eastern Canada, I usually do not have to stray too far from the arrivals area, where there is a Starbucks, and the ol' faithful wind-up aeronautical display, for kids. There is a big wind-up mechanism, and then this whole three-planed display twists around, propellers propelling -- the kids go wild over it, and make just enough noise to awake you, so you do not miss your connector flight to Ottawa.
Thank you Alyce, for hosting this terrific blog-meme @ At Home With Books.

I love airports too - esp the ones you hang around in at the beginning of a holiday!! Happy holidays :-)
What a blessing, an airport nice enough to love! :-)
Merry Christmas, Cipriano,
Merisi
P.S.: My favorite airport cafe is at Schiphol airport, in Amsterdam. Somewhere I got pictures .... ;-)
I love airports and this is a great photo!
This display sounds like so much fun and a great way to bring a smile while for your next flight!

That is very cool!!!
Maybe I'll make it there one day!
Thinks it's pretty cool that no one was around at that time:)
That is one impressive airport. I'd love to visit Calgary someday.
I travel frequently for work in the United States but have yet to go above the border (yet!); because of all that travel, I can completely relate to how important a good airport is :) Surprisingly, the Jacksonville, Florida airport is one of my favorites, along with the Orange County Airport. Chicago isn't so bad with all of the options, but there are just so many people everywhere!
As much as I hate to fly, and don't enjoy the long securities check-in, I must say that the Airport beyond has really become a fun place to be. Yours is wonderful...it almost makes me want to fly somewhere! lol
Here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
That looks a really good display.
LOL, the airplane sounds like fun. I love that some airports are a lot more entertaining than others. Some airports are just scary, and some are just ugly... Happy Holidays! Book Savvy Babe
I love airports as well (except for Pearson in Toronto) and feel like I'm on vacation once I am through security.
Having a nice area like that makes a world of difference while waiting at the airport.
Bear With Me...neat post♫ HappyMerryChristmasHoliday♥
I think I'd love that wind-up display, too! How cool!
My goodness, does that look familiar :) I also love the cookies they sell (or used to sell) right below the airplane whirligig.
