I've developed a great reputation for wisdom by ordering more books than I ever had time to read, and reading more books, by far, than I learned anything useful from, except, of course, that some very tedious gentlemen have written books.

I love Marilynne Robinson's first and for a long time only novel. Somehow I could not find the right key and enjoyment with Gilead. How was your experience, Cipriano?

I agree with you that I did not think the book was all that great, really. I mean to say, it's probably a great book and all, but simply did not especially resonate with me, as a reader.
