"I know there´s a lot of speculation that these reports in Washington mean there´s going to be some kind of graceful exit out of Iraq. This business about a graceful exit just simply has no realism to it whatsoever. We´re going to stay in Iraq to get the job done as long as the government wants us there." -- President Bush -- [Spoken, yesterday!]

"I know war as few other men now living know it, and nothing to me is more revolting. I have long advocated its complete abolition, as its very destructiveness on friend and foe has rendered it useless as a method of settling international disputes." -- Douglas MacArthur, Congress address, 19 April, 1951 --
