Phantasm: A Saturday Poem
PhantasmI walked across a field last nightAnd though you were not there…The scented, memory-ladenMists of you were in the air.And these were scattered by a breezeWhose message was the same…For distantly were whisp’ringAspen leaves that knew your name. And even when the gathering windsSurrounded like a fire…The gusty tongues could only carryThoughts of you still higher.Where up above, and far apartTwo lonely stars were gleaming…They followed me across the fieldLast night as I lay dreaming.© Ciprianowords Inc. 2008
