Ouch...I'm planning a 2200-mile round trip for late June and the cost of the fuel I'm going to burn goes up every day. I first calculated the trip cost based on a price of $3.50 a gallon and now I'm expecting it will average much closer to $4.00 a gallon, a significant change in just a few weeks.
The whole situation makes me wish I was Jed Clampett, you know? What with that endless "Texas tea" bubbling up in his back yard? Or Jethro. No wait. Not Jethro. My favorite Hillbilly's line is when Uncle Jed asks Jethro ... "Boy, how many bowls of cereal have you had there?" And Jethro answers.... "Just this one Uncle Jed. Filled it four times!" What all this has to do with gasoline prices, I have no idea. I digress. I'm on crack!
Ugh, you are so right. I've been walking a lot more lately. Gas burns holes in pockets. Not to mention the atmosphere!
ReplyDeleteToo Funny!
ReplyDelete*LOL*
ReplyDeleteWell, aftera reflective moment,
I'd rather shed a tear. ;-)
