Splash du Jour: Friday
Last night, my sister and her husband stenciled the above phrase onto a wall in their house.
This morning she will be going to her first chemotherapy treatment, after being diagnosed with breast cancer a few months ago.
So I am not only thinking of her, but actually, I am thinking of nothing else!
Heaps of love and strength to you, Audrey!Have a great Friday, dear Bookpuddlers!

All good thoughts and prayers to your sister and her family – and that includes you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful, inspiring phrase they’ve chosen to guide them.
Good wishes to your sister. I hope the chemo is successful and she is well again soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and inspiring thought. All the best to Audrey and "bon courage" to you all.

On behalf of my dear sister, friends -- Thank you for your lovely words, wishes, and thoughts.
ReplyDeleteWhen I got home this evening, there was a message on my answering machine from her... the general gist of which was to encourage me to not worry about her -- that everything went "fine" today... to not worry, not worry -- to not stress -- to not not not, etc. etc. -- all of which makes me LOVE and ADMIRE her 80% more than I was already 100% loving her!
A colleague of mine, 36, completely recovered from the same illness. I am sure that everything will be all right also for your sister. Good on her for being so brave!
ReplyDeleteAs regards you, chase your dark thoughts - just be as close to her as you can.
Thank you for your encouraging words and thoughts, May.
