I [Heart] Saturdays!
I just love Saturdays, where I can take a good book out onto the balcony, sit there with a minimal amount of clothes on [my hair carefully arranged in a style I like to think of as "Early Neanderthal"] and drink the best beverage on earth. Coffee.
Do not even argue with me, you tea-drinkers! COFFEE IS BETTER!*******
Coffee is so much better! As a stay-at-home mom my weekends are far busier than my weekdays, but no less fun. :) Today is swimming lessons and Cub Scout popcorn sales at a local festival. Thank goodness for leftover cold pizza in the fridge (and the coffee cart on the way to the pool)!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely perfect. Love that kind of day. Make mine Diet Coke!
ReplyDelete:)
I agree, coffee is better. I'm outnumbered in my house though. Hubby and daughter are tea drinkers. To each their own, right?
ReplyDeleteCoffee fan here. SOunds like a great day.
ReplyDeleteExcellent!
ReplyDeleteCoffee is winning the day!
Three coffees and a Diet Coke -- not bad at all.
What! No Tea-Partiers out there?
Geez -- what are the Democrats so scared of, then?
Looks perfect...If I pretend the liquid in the mug is HOT CHOCOLATE. See, I'm not a tea-drinker, so I can argue. :-)
ReplyDeleteHope you had a lovely relaxing day!
Here's mine: http://myreadersblock.blogspot.com/2011/09/saturday-snapshot-september-24.html
I love that mug! I also have that same book which I'm quite looking forward to reading.
ReplyDeleteI've never finished a cup of coffee, just can't seem to get into it. I recall my parents telling me I would like it when I was older, but it still hasn't happened. The book and beverage part sound great!
ReplyDeleteWell, I obviously agree with you that coffee is heck-yeah better :) I love Early Neanderthal style - why, I have my hair coiffed just so right now.
ReplyDeleteHere's another vote for Coffee! I'll admit it, I'm not even functional without it. As for the early Saturday morning hair, nothing a hat won't fix.
ReplyDeleteCoffee here!!!! if coffee is alcohol I would have been dead drunk long time ago...:D :D :D
ReplyDeleteBleh... no coffee for me thanks. I drink cold not hot. I'm a sucker for a Tim's Iced-Capuccino though so I guess I do drink some form of coffee.
ReplyDeleteI prefer iced-tea to the hot stuff and chocolate milk to hot chocolate.
Your homie on the other hand LOVES a good cup of coffee. That's probably why you two get along so well... That and the love of beer and of course the french kiss to our long departed Bogey.
C.
No argument here. Coffee is better. And that coffee mug is awesome.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is great as long as your coworker doesn't throw out your cached Starbucks. Again, I'm terribly sorry Cipriano
ReplyDeleteBev:
ReplyDeleteI agree that a nice mug of hot chocolate can be just the thing, for sure!
Trish:
That mug was a gift to me when I cat-sit my friend's extremely BAD cat! I've had it for over a century!
Jill:
I'm thinking you need to give coffee one more try. Maybe you need some Margaret Atwood blend [see my recent blog...]
Natalie:
Thank you for your vote of confidence. And I do not believe you about your Neanderthal hair! MIne, however....... truly Distraught Caveman would be a good name for it!
Leslie:
Yayyyyy for coffee! Let's clink glasses and get a caffeine buzz going!
JmRL:
Ditto. Only with me, umm..... it actually IS alcohol I am drunk on, most of the time...!
C:
What? I would have taken you for a good old coffee-drinker! As for "My Homie".. yes, he and I are overdue for a coffee, or better yet, a case of Mooseheads!
Stefanie:
Hah hah! I knew I could count on you. COFFEE ROCKS!
BBB:
No worries, my friend. I totally don't blame you for cleaning out that cupboard. It's all water... or should I say..... coffee under the bridge!
