In Room me and Ma had time for everything. I guess the time gets spread very thin like butter over all the world, the roads and houses and playgrounds and stores, so there's only a little smear of time on each place, then everyone has to hurry on the next bit.

I enjoyed this one when I read it, but admit it took me a good 50 pages to get used to the young narrator.
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way. The baby talk was bothering me. At first I wondered... how are we ever going to know anything more than this kid knows, if he's doing all the talking?
