Splash du Jour: Monday

The first duty of the novelist is to entertain. It is a moral duty. People who read your books are sick, sad, traveling, in the hospital waiting room while someone is dying. Books are written by the alone for the alone.
-- Donna Tartt --

Have a great Monday!

She makes it sound so dramatic but I read just for the pleasure of it with a "in sickness and in health" kind of mindset. I have to agree about wanting to be entertained though.
